WSJ seeks editor for Logistics Report

The Wall Street Journal seeks an experienced editor and manager to lead Logistics Report, a professional vertical dedicated to coverage of logistics and supply chain management.

The editor should have deep knowledge of logistics, commerce and other issues of interest to supply chain professionals. She or he should be an experienced and versatile business journalist, adept at balancing the need for specialized daily news and analysis, as well as longer-term features that work for a broader audience.

The person must be able to effectively communicate with and manage a team spread across various cities.

The Logistics Report covers topics ranging from Amazon’s distribution dominance to America’s trucker shortage, topics vitally important to a wide swath of readers.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
