WSJ seeks deputy U.S. news editor

The Wall Street Journal is looking for a seasoned news manager and sophisticated wordsmith to serve as deputy U.S. editor, helping oversee coverage of general news across America.

This New York-based role requires deep-rooted digital instincts, a powerful news drive and broad-based knowledge that covers a variety of topics, including politics, economy, education, law, crime and real estate.

Experience managing large teams of editors and reporters at a major news organization is essential. The right candidate will have the stamina to run big breaking news stories and the insight to drive coverage that sets the agenda.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
