WSJ seeks deputy “Heard on the Street” editor

Are you a numerate financial journalist or editor with an analytical bent? Interested in helping to shape the conversation about financial and economic developments alongside a talented and sophisticated team of journalists on three continents?

The Wall Street Journal’s “Heard on the Street” column is looking for a deputy editor to be based in New York. The position involves commissioning and editing financial and economic commentary as well as contributing your own columns for publication. This is a unique opportunity to put yourself at the center of the financial conversation.

Requirements: Candidates should have a strong grasp of economics and finance and several years of experience as a writer, an editor, or both. Excellent writing skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are critical. Work or academic background in finance or economics are a plus.
