WSJ seeks deputy editor for newsroom standards

WSJ 2017The Wall Street Journal is seeking to hire a deputy editor for newsroom standards.

A senior position based in New York with primary responsibility for ensuring the reporting, editing and publication of news all meet our high Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswires standards.

Specific duties include but are not limited to pre-publication review of certain articles, working with Dow Jones media attorneys and editors on guiding reporters during the reporting process, post-publication resolution of issues and travel to help train journalists on standards issues.

The selected editor will work closely with the standards team, Dow Jones attorneys, staff journalists worldwide and will report to the Editor, Ethics and Standards.

Candidates should have substantial and high-level editing experience and significant knowledge of Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones standards and processes.
