WSJ seeks deputy corporate coverage chief

The Wall Street Journal seeks an editor to help lead our global business coverage.

The job involves elevating, driving and prioritizing news and enterprise coverage on all topics business and tech.

Candidates should have excellent news judgment and editing skills and be able to inspire editors and reporters alike. We are looking for someone who is creative and fast with art and open to myriad forms of storytelling.

Candidates should be strong managers who can help keep our work flowing smoothly to all platforms, from print and web to mobile and wires, and help package stories so they reach their full potential. We are looking for an accomplished reporter or editor experienced in business or financial news.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
