WSJ seeks deputy bureau chief in Washington

The Wall Street Journal seeks an experienced journalist to help direct its global political coverage.

This editor will shape and shepherd coverage from Journal reporters around the world on all aspects of politics. Strong reporting skills are essential, as is expert knowledge of a wide variety of economic and political subjects.

The deputy will be expected to juggle a mix of breaking news and longer-term enterprise pieces, and deliver the highest quality journalism across platforms.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
