The real time desk of the Wall Street Journal / Dow Jones Newswires is looking for a news professional to join the London team to edit the major political, economic, business and markets stories of the day for our growing worldwide digital readership. You will have exceptional editing skills, work accurately at speed, and have the news judgment and ability to harness digital innovations to make stories shine.
The successful candidate will be part of a larger team of digital, print and interactive editors. You will work with reporters, bureau chiefs and sector editors across the EMEA region and with Asia-Pacific and the Americas to ensure that our real-time, multiplatform news coverage remains at the forefront of the global news agenda.
You will need to possess the essential attributes of being able to balance the demands of speed and accuracy with the skill to develop and grow our digital presence.
A strong background in news reporting, editing, research or all of these is required, as are excellent written English, computer literacy, and an understanding of the needs and opportunities presented by digital news.
