WSJ seeks bonds and currencies reporter

The Wall Street Journal seeks a reporter to cover the markets for bonds and currencies, a high-profile beat at the center of the Journal’s coverage.

The New York-basedreporterwill join the beat at an exciting time. Along with the daily moves of financial markets, he or she will be expected to cover stories such as the impact of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate increases, investors’ concerns about the longevity of the long bull market in bondsandthe consequences of the dollar’s recent rallyandreversal.

The successful candidate will be able to tell stories in a variety of formats, including quick analysis of breaking news, chart packages, podcasts, video and in-depth enterprise projects. Experience covering financial markets is strongly preferred, though candidates with a proven track record of scoops and enterprise on a related beat are also encouraged to apply.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill.
