WSJ seeks auto reporter in Detroit

The Wall Street Journal is looking for an aggressive reporter to join its autos team in Detroit. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the global automotive industry.

The industry is facing a key moment as it grapples with technological arms race that has given rise to a host of new competitors, and uncertain markets around the world that are forcing it to rethink the way it does business.

This reporter will be expected to break news and juggle short- and longer-term pieces for all platforms. Strong collaboration with colleagues in other bureaus around the U.S. and across the globe is essential.

The successful candidate will have at least five years of reporting experience, including experience covering companies.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
