The Wall Street Journal video group is seeking an entry-level video journalist with a specific interest in and aptitude for editing on Final Cut Pro X and creating video graphics.

This person will be responsible for editing graphics-intensive, fast-paced, short news packages.

The ability to edit video quickly in a deadline environment is a must. Experience using Adobe Illustrator, After Effects and Apple Motion preferred. All three software programs will be used to adapt vector graphics, including charts and infographics.

The ideal candidate will provide a reel that demonstrates a fast-paced editing style, effective use of music, and a flair for storytelling.

The assistant video journalist role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic newsroom environment and produce award-winning journalism.
