The person in this senior editorial position will work with newsroom colleagues and others throughout Dow Jones to ensure news, analysis and data are delivered in the most effective manner to professionals. This editor will also be involved in ongoing work to enhance existing products and develop new ones.
The work done by this editor would center on WSJ Pro and Dow Jones Newswires, which are the pillars of the WSJ offering for those who rely on news and other information from Dow Jones to do their jobs. Over the past year, WSJ Pro verticals have been launched that focus on Central Banking, Financial Regulation, Venture Capital and Private Equity. Planning is underway for additional verticals.
Dow Jones Newswires, for its part, remains a staple for financial professionals who require a wide range of real-time news and analysis.
The person in this position will work hand-in-hand with editorial coverage groups around the world to ensure vital coverage for specialist audiences is being produced. This person will also work with colleagues on the design, technology and product teams to build and enhance products to serve these subscribers.
Candidates for this role must have extensive newsroom experience, strong organization and communication skills, the ability to juggle many different tasks at once and a proven ability to lead others and drive results. Experience as a project manager is also very valuable.
