We need someone with a track record of driving the widest range of storytelling, including new, digital-first story formats. We want scoops, investigative projects, news analysis and long-form journalism that reveals and analyzes with the broadest sweep the key players and pressures shaping these businesses.
The job requires global cooperation in the extreme, working with energy- and mining-focused editors and reporters across Europe, in the U.S., the Mideast, Africa, Latin America and Asia. While the focus of the group is on our core corporate coverage, this chief will need a highly ecumenical approach since the group also works extensively with reporters and editors from the Journal’s markets and world parishes.
