WSJ seeks an economics reporter

The Wall Street Journal is seeking an economics reporter to tell smart, revelatory and engaging stories through various media.

You will have wide latitude to explain emerging trends, the evolution of various sectors and the way economic change affects people’s lives. The position, based in Washington, will also include coverage of economic data reports and working across multiple platforms, including print, wsj.com, video, podcasts and newswires.

You will have at least two years of reporting experience, preferably about economics. You should be comfortable working with data, covering breaking news at digital speed as well as taking deep dives into a variety of topics.

You will be in the heart of the DC economics team and you will be expected to work in a collegial manner with colleagues on the team as well as the visuals, graphics and podcast departments.

You will report to Economics Editor Nell Henderson. While you will likely start the job working remotely, you will eventually be based in our Washington DC Bureau.
