WSJ seeks ag reporter in Chicago

February 23, 2016

The Wall Street Journal is looking for an energetic, enterprising reporter to join its food-and-agriculture team in Chicago.

The reporter would contribute to coverage of daily developments in the futures markets for grains and livestock, as well as the broader business of farming and selling the food we eat.

The person should be able to manage a heavy flow of real-time coverage of daily news while carving out time to deliver scoops and exclusive insights on the forces shaping and shaking U.S. agriculture, from falling global crops prices to shifting consumer tastes. The optimal candidate would have some experience covering agriculture, though that’s not essential.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
