WSJ seeks a venture capital and startups reporter

The Wall Street Journal is looking for a seasoned journalist to cover venture capital and startups at a time when unprecedented amounts of capital are flooding into Silicon Valley investment firms and the young companies they back.

You will be part of a two-person team, helping drive coverage for the world’s leading business news organization of the investors and entrepreneurs who are trying to shape the future of the technology industry.

You will:

-Guide readers’ understanding of the opportunities and risks in burgeoning tech hotspots from instant delivery to NFT trading to helicopter taxis.

-Break news and produce compelling features.

-Be a self-starter who is also eager and able to collaborate with colleagues across the newsroom.

You have:

-At least five years of experience covering business; knowledge of tech and finance are a big plus.

-A demonstrated ability to produce scoops and other agenda-setting coverage.

-Comfort working across formats, including podcasts and visual journalism as well as text.

While you may start remotely, you will eventually be based in our San Francisco office.

To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter explaining how you would approach the job.
