Far more than just the dominant online retailer in the U.S., Amazon is now the leader competitor in cloud computing, a powerhouse in Hollywood, a growing player in logistics, and a rival to Google and Facebook in digital advertising–not to mention its ambitions in finance and health data.
Working closely with our current Amazon correspondent and other reporters around the Journal, this person would handle a mixture of breaking news and features. The right person will be bursting with smart story ideas and have a proven ability to execute impactful stories and to work effectively with others. The job will also involve participating in other tech coverage as news demands and opportunities arise.
The right candidate will have strong understanding of business, be quick-thinking and be able to write fluidly and clearly under pressure. The person will also have the ability to find and develop their own features.
