The team’s remit—driven by coverage priorities and audience data—is wide ranging, from business to general news around the country and beyond.
In addition to breaking news, this team also looks for smart opportunities to join the conversation on trending stories and topics.
You should be resourceful, comfortable with cold-calling police departments and companies, and excited by the chase for a developing story. You should have strong news judgment, excellent research skills and a good sense for what our audience is looking for. You will be expected to quickly produce clean, error-free copy. Ideally, you have experience writing about the tech industry, or have covered a corporate beat.
