WSJ seeks a senior markets reporter in London

The Wall Street Journal is searching for a senior markets reporter to lead the charge on our coverage from the financial capital of the world — London.

This job documents in real time the winners and losers at the heart of global markets. The ideal candidate is fluent in stocks, bonds, commodities, currencies (fiat and crypto) and is a deft translator of Wall Street argot into plain English for our highly educated and engaged audience.

We want someone who lives and breathes markets. You’ve had at least a few years under your belt covering markets and you want to become an authoritative voice on the scene. You love that markets change all the time and you love unraveling the mysteries beneath them. You know how to tell stories about the real people who make the trades that light up screens in red and green.

You should be comfortable jumping on news, writing quickly and cleanly. We also want someone who can step back and tell the bigger stories that unpick the conventional wisdom of the day. While you may start the job remotely, you will eventually be based in London, reporting to Alex Frangos, Europe Finance Editor.
