The U.K. is in many ways a happy hunting ground for us, providing a large number of lively stories for an exacting readership often familiar with the country. The last few years has witnessed, among other things, two general elections, referendums on Scottish independence and on leaving the European Union, multiple terrorist attacks, the attempted murder of an exiled Russian intelligence office, a deadly fire in a high rise, and a royal wedding. These stories, some of which laid bare unexpected divisions in British life, have been among the most closely followed of the decade. There is every expectation it will continue.
