The Wall Street Journal is looking for an Istanbul-based reporter to cover vital security issues in the volatile Middle East, ranging from the regional rivalries playing out in Libya, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, to U.S. counterterror efforts in the region. Turkey’s increasing role in the region is also of special interest.
You should have a track record of generating scoops, writing impactful enterprise and navigating difficult places. The correspondent should also be a team player, a willing partner on big enterprise stories as well as breaking news from the Middle East.
The ability to speak Arabic or Persian is preferred but not required. You will report to the bureau chief for the Middle East and North Africa.
