We’re looking for a reporter who is enthusiastic about markets and able to deploy quickly on real-time markets news, analysis and visuals.
Commodities would be one key area of focus, bolstering our coverage of the energy and metals markets that stoke global industry. But we’d also expect you to monitor each day’s research and press releases for breaking news and emerging trends on stocks, cryptocurrencies and more. You should be eager to explain to readers what’s going on and why it matters. You should also be willing to rethink what a “story” is, and comfortable working in a variety of mediums, including new real-time digital markets efforts.
This is an entry-level position, but previous experience in markets reporting is strongly desired.
You will report to Markets Editor Aaron Kuriloff and will work closely with the Journal’s markets reporters and editors in New York, Hong Kong and London.
