The Wall Street Journal is seeking a reporter to cover financial markets in New York.
The reporter will join a team that delivers fast, smart news and thoughtful, long-form explanatory journalism on markets and on the people and forces that influence them. This is a role for a news-driven thinker capable of explaining the complexities of finance for a sophisticated and hungry audience, and uncovering what and who are driving financial markets.
The ideal candidate has financial or business-reporting experience and the desire to become fluent in several areas of markets. We especially prize reporters capable of seeing across asset classes and connecting their movements to wider themes, and able to work with large datasets and think visually.
We need someone flexible enough to develop specialized knowledge as the needs of the markets news cycle demand.
