The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter to cover logistics, supply chain and freight transportation issues, trends and news for the professional Logistics Report, with an eye toward how developments in logistics and shipping reflect broader trends in economic and trade growth.
Specific areas of coverage, both domestic and international, include:
- Logistics and supply chain strategies by major manufacturers and retailers, including management of inventories, trade and production in response to economic and trade trends
- U.S. seaports participating in international trade, including trends and strategies in automation, labor relations, infrastructure development and port services
- Transportation investment, including venture-capital backing for logistics-focused technology companies
- Global logistics management companies
- Sustainability, including issues involving sourcing of production materials
The position is responsible for writing two to four stories per week for posting to the Logistics Report and wsj.com as well as periodic features on broader trends. The position will also participate in writing, proofreading and publishing the daily Logistics Report newsletter as needed.
