WSJ seeks a Korea bureau chief

The Wall Street Journal is looking for an energetic, experienced and ambitious journalist to lead its coverage of the Korean Peninsula.

The job is at the heart of one of the biggest geopolitical stories in the world: the nuclear standoff between Pyongyang and Washington. Korea is also a huge business and economic story. South Korea is home to some of the biggest global tech companies and an export powerhouse.

We are looking for a skilled writer and reporter who will lead from the front, covering major stories while also guiding and editing a team of talented reporters. A high news metabolism and sound judgment are essential, as is experience producing in-depth enterprise work.

The position has a wide remit, and the successful candidate will need to work closely with colleagues in Washington, Beijing and elsewhere, covering the international ramifications of events on the peninsula.

Dow Jones offers an opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading financial and business news companies. We invite interested candidates to submit a cover letter and detailed resume.
