We’re looking for an experienced journalist to cover a variety of companies and industries across Asia, generate column ideas and take a view. You should have a strong analytical bent and a high comfort level with finance and accounting. If you know India’s economy or commodities markets, that’s a plus. You will collaborate with colleagues around the world.
Heard is the Journal’s home for financial analysis and commentary. It’s a global team that writes sophisticated, quick and sharp commentary on markets, companies and economies. We question conventional wisdom and dig deeply into the numbers to give readers deep insights into business and investing. We have exposed scams, highlighted flaws in corporate strategy and, occasionally, tilted at windmills.
The job will be based in a major Asian city like New Delhi, Mumbai or Singapore. You will report to Asia Heard on the Street Editor. Please submit a cover letter describing your experience and interest in this job, a detailed resume, and a half-dozen clips with explanations about what the stories show about your capabilities.
