WSJ looking for new Colombia bureau chief

The Wall Street Journal seeks a dynamic journalist to fill the newly created position of bureau chief for South American coverage ex-Brazil. The successful candidate will supervise reporters in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

Experience covering the region is a must, as is the managerial skill to supervise a far-flung set of reporters. The candidate should have a track record of telling very different kinds of tales, from war in the jungles to battles in the boardroom. Experience writing in depth on business, finance, economics and politics is required, as is experience with breaking, real-time journalism that values scoops and smart analysis of breaking events. Spanish fluency is critical.

Please attach a resume, cover letter and three to five published clips to your online application.
