Worth seeks a senior editor

Over the past 30 years, Worth Media has successfully built a diverse community of influential and successful individuals. Worth publishes digital content daily, distributes multiple digital newsletters, produces a quarterly print magazine, and hosts physical and virtual events throughout the year. Our new “Worth beyond wealth” mantra acknowledges our commitment to highlighting topics related to doing well and doing good. Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Senior Editor will be a key part of the editorial team across all platforms with a particular emphasis on our digital platforms.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide editorial strategy input and support to the website, magazine and other platforms such as live events, podcasts and videos.

  • Assign, traffic, edit and write pieces regularly for the website.

  • Write pieces for each of the quarterly issues of the magazine.

  • Help identify and recruit strong and well-matched writers for all Worth brands.

  • Represent Worth edit at press meetings and events.

  • Collaborate on, ideate and edit marketing, partner and curated content.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed by the editorial team.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least four years of experience conceiving, writing and editing copy with a special emphasis on digital.

  • Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics, social media platforms/best practices and SEO.

  • A great eye for the good story, the news hook, the editorial approach that will attract readers, viewers and participants.

  • Exceptional knowledge of AP style.

  • Intellectually engaged, curious and well informed. You care about what’s going on in the world and how money and power can be used to create a more sustainable, equitable world.

  • Interest in and/or knowledge of topics related to: sustainability, conscious capitalism, the future of work, corporate social responsibility, ESG, SDGs, DEI, equitable workplaces and social justice issues.

  • A team player with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and collaborate within a nimble team.

  • BA in journalism, communications, or other applicable degree preferred but not required.
