WOOD TV seeks an executive producer

WOOD TV is looking for a hands-on, aggressive, innovative, creative and dynamic Executive Producer.

The successful candidate:

  • Will have a proven track record as a newscast producer who desires to coach and mentor our producing staff to their fullest potential.
  • As a key newsroom manager, the EP will help craft the stations daily content, work with the assignment desk, our crews in the field and producing staff.
  • They will work closely with the News Director and Assistant News director, as well as the Digital Director and Digital EP to set and uphold the high standards for how WOOD TV8 content is produced and executed.

This is your opportunity to work with one of the most award-winning teams in the Midwest, and lead the team on breaking news, weather and investigative content, complimented by big live events and outstanding special programming.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent is required.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in television or radio broadcast/production
  • Be able to interact well with staff.
  • Candidates need to be detail oriented, have excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
  • Have strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations.
