Wisconsin paper seeks business reporter

The Gazette, consistently named one of the Wisconsin’s best newspapers, is seeking an energetic and experienced reporter to cover local businesses and plan multi-media news packages for our digital platforms.

Qualifications include a degree in journalism or related field and strong writing skills. Experience reporting for a daily paper is required, with business reporting experience preferred.

Copy editing and page-design experience are a plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. This full-time position offers a benefits package including health, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, various voluntary benefits and 401(k).

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
