Wick Communications is seeking a collaborative Managing Editor to lead the Herald/Review, a dynamic, digitally innovative news publication covering Cochise County, Arizona.
The Herald/Review is the top news destination for a population of 125,000, offering seven-day-a-week digital coverage. We produce email newsletters, podcasts, in-studio videos, live events, specialty magazines, a three-day-a-week newspaper — and curate our own in-house community conversations platform.
Our Managing Editor leads all newsgathering efforts across these channels and supervises a 10-person newsroom.
We cover the biggest and smallest moments in our communities; everything from border policy and elections turmoil to high school graduations. Our coverage area stretches across Southern Arizona and touches both Mexico and New Mexico. The Herald/Review is the flagship publication of Wick Communications, which is also headquartered in Sierra Vista.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated history of producing top-notch journalism and a desire to elevate our award-winning work to the next level.
Qualifications:
This is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, and a 401k retirement plan. We are an equal opportunity employer.
Please send a resume and cover letter to hr@wickcommunications.com with the subject line “Herald/Review Managing Editor.”
