Wichita Business Journal seeks digital editor

The digital editor at the Wichita Business Journal is responsible for the publishing of our content on all our digital platforms – Website, newsletters, social media.

Duties

Generates and executes digital content strategies, produces and maintains content on the WBJ website. Tracks metrics with an eye toward constant improvement. Works with editors, reporters and others to plan new content. Helps staff identify and deploy tactics to meet traffic and engagement goals.

Skills

Strong headline writing and copy-editing skills. Solid grasp of Associated Press style. Adept with content management systems. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Database creation and management.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
