Westchester County Biz Journal seeks biz reporter

The Westchester County Business Journal, a weekly newspaper and daily online publication, seeks an experienced, inquisitive, versatile reporter for its wide-ranging coverage of the business, not-for-profit and government sectors in metropolitan Westchester County and the Hudson Valley region.

Journalists with a minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience at a news publication are preferred. Recent college and journalism school graduates who have worked on student publications or in journalism internships and can show strong writing samples will be considered.

The full-time position requires use of a camera to accompany reporting and an ability to work under deadline pressure in a demanding newsroom environment.

Founded in 1968, the Westchester County Business Journal is a publication of Westfair Communications Inc. in White Plains. The company also publishes the weekly Fairfield County Business Journal and WAG, a lifestyles magazine.

Applicants should send a cover letter, resume and at least three writing samples to John Golden, Westchester Bureau Chief, at jgolden@westfairinc.com.
