WBURWBUR is seeking a veteran journalist to join our BostonomiX unit –a multi-platform effort to report on the innovation economy – the people, industries and businesses that populate that economy, the trends that drive that economy, and the issues that face that economy.

Boston’s knowledge-based economy is in the midst of a dynamic transformation and we seek an enterprising journalist and creative storyteller to report in the following areas:  Innovation, emerging technologies, biotech businesses in and around the Boston area, and tapping into the pulse and changing nature of the culture within the area’s tech community and its impact on Greater Boston.

This reporter would be expected to report, write and produce radio and digital feature stories on these topics and, when needed, on other developing business stories as determined by editors.

As part of this coverage, this journalist is expected to identify, cultivate and maintain source relationships among a variety of entities including (but not limited to) large and small companies, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, scientists, academics, business schools and local and state government officials.

We seek to broadcast, publish and share our journalism in a growing number of platforms and to a growing number of audiences – on the radio, on line, on social media, in podcasts, in community events, via audio, video, text and graphics.  We seek to report and share data I novel ways.

We work in Boston but we seek to reach an audience in Boston and around the world.
