You will be joining an award-winning investigative team that has a proven track record of impactful stories that have revealed injustices and wrongdoing. Our stories span a variety of subjects including criminal justice, environment, businesses, local and state government and health care. We are a close-knit team that thrives on collaboration.
You will develop story ideas and collaborate with colleagues in the newsroom and with journalism partners to produce powerful stories for the Boston and New England area. On the team, you will focus on projects that expose harm and hold those in power to account. You will report, write and produce online stories and audio features that will air on our local and national shows at WBUR as well as NPR, reaching audiences across the country.
You’re right for this job if you have at least six years experience in producing in-depth watchdog stories either on beats or in investigative team settings. With an appetite to dig for the truth, you pay attention to the details and also see the bigger picture. You are a natural collaborator, wanting to work with reporters, editors and producers as well as others in the WBUR organization.
