Washington Post seeks technology reporter

January 11, 2017

Washington PostThe Washington Post is seeking a general assignment technology reporter who has the ambition to be the go-to person for what readers around the country need to know about the tech world on any given day.

The ability to cover news is a given, as is a high metabolism. We are also seeking someone who can step back and sort through all of the tech news that emanates from Silicon Valley and elsewhere. Explaining why events are happening is as important as covering what is happening.

This high-profile position is ideal for an experienced, digital-first writer with an eye for unique story angles and an ability to develop sources in industry and government. We expect this person to be a journalistic resource for the newsroom, so a strong understanding of how technology works would be valued.

Those interested should contact David Cho (david.cho@washpost.com), Michelle Williams (michelle.williams@washpost.com), Zachary Goldfarb (zachary.goldfarb@washpost.com)  or Tracy Grant (tracy.grant@washpost.com) by Jan. 20.
