The Washington Post is seeking for an assignment editor to join the America desk and help lead important journalism.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams of reporters at various skill levels, as well as the ability to juggle daily news with ambitious enterprise. You will also help oversee About US, a twice-weekly newsletter dedicated to sparking honest conversations about race, gender, sexual orientation, and other matters of identity.
Candidates must have the ability to work collegially and effectively with others.
In this role, you will be part of a three-person editing team, and will be expected to collaborate with journalists across the newsroom.
