The Wall Street Journal seeks a reporter to cover the energy business out of London.
The job involves coverage of BP, Shell and Total, three of the world’s biggest energy companies and three of Europe’s largest listed firms, as well as broad trends in energy including the rise of wind and solar and the energy industry’s response to climate change.
Europe has led in terms of investments in alternative energy and efforts to transition away from oil and gas, and is increasingly setting the tone on this front. The London energy reporter will work closely with colleagues around the world, including in Asia and Houston, as well as our markets and political reporters globally.
We are looking for someone with five years experience in business or finance reporting and a proven ability to break news and deliver agenda-setting enterprise. While energy reporting experience is welcome, it isn’t required. Enthusiasm to learn about the subject is.
