WABE seeks a digital product manager

WABE is seeking a knowledgeable and project-driven Digital Product Manager with a detail-oriented and energetic personality to grow WABE’s Digital Product catalog.

Duties And Accountabilities:

The Digital Product Manager will work with WABE’s Chief Technology Officer to identify and create a roadmap for all the digital products/features, follow up with great execution of ensuing projects, and ensuring that products meet the desired goals/KPIs

Among The Duties Of The Position Are:

  • Responsible for driving the vision and execution of all digital products or elements of digital products.
  • Take charge of the development of various digital products from concept to launch (entire product lifecycle)
  • Develop & execute on short and long-term plans (roadmaps, features, UX & UI requirements, KPI’s, ROI etc.) for all digital products (websites, video, streaming, apps, mobile, social etc.) to ensure they are best-in-class and meet goals (such as audience reach, revenue, uptime etc.)
  • Responsible for achieving the key goals and performance of digital products
  • Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
  • Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement
  • Manages a variety of technical applications, including social media, web, mobile applications, video & streaming, audio & podcasts, e-news, e-mail and others: works with vendors to prepare technology platforms & products (HW, SW, front and back end); provides technical support to application users as needed.
  • Manage the execution of all the projects to completion to create the products, features etc. for the various digital products in a timely, efficient & cost-effective manner, working in conjunction with internal and external teams.
  • Manage ongoing issues to resolution for all digital products; manage & prioritize the bug list as well as new incremental feature additions for existing products
  • Aligns priorities with other teams while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnership across the different teams.
  • Work closely within their team and key collaboration partners to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary.
  • Study end-user needs, defines product features, and coordinates activities across teams to meet quality standards, project deadlines and business objectives. Gathering and writing requirements for small, medium, and large application features; conducting competitive analysis; and using product discovery techniques to aid in the prioritization of features (e.g., A/B, surveys, interviews etc.)
  • Monitors and reports on product utilization and identifies trends.
  • Monitors performance to identify trends and recommends initiatives to leverage opportunities.
  • Collaborates and communicates well with internal and external teams. Provides guidance to staff.
  • Customer-first mindset, strong understanding of back-end and front-end programming languages, and an ability to develop data pipelines that can be used to track, analyze, and improve our digital products.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

Necessary Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, strong digital technology knowledge and understanding, 4 years of experience as a Product Manager or a similar role, experienced project manager who can work well in a team environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the media landscape with experience in digital aspects and ecosystem of TV, Radio, News, Audio, Video, Streaming, OTT, podcasts, underwriting, ad-serving etc.
  • Deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key collaboration partners to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy.
  • Strong customer facing digital subject matter expertise with experience working on medium complexity features and/or an entire software application.
  • Innovative, Creative problem solving and management skills.
  • Adaptability & flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical (data analysis), organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and functions well under deadline pressure
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
