Virginian-Pilot 2021 internship program launches

The Virginian-Pilot is seeking paid interns to work in the company’s newsrooms in summer 2021.

Interns can work throughout the company, from The Pilot to the Daily Press in Newport News to the Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg, or other publications from the Outer Banks to Richmond.

You will also be assigned an editor and will participate in team meetings.

The internship period lasts 12 weeks.

Internships are offered in:

  • Reporting
  • Videography/photography
  • Audience team
  • Data journalist

The deadline to apply for internships is November 13.

Candidates must be enrolled at the time of application in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university, or be a recent graduate within the past 6 months.
