This Associate Editor position assists our Insurance team at 360 Reviews. They will work primarily on content updates and may also work on content for our ratings and guides. The primary responsibilities of this role are fact-checking, copy editing and writing. The Associate Editor completes some work in a content management system and performs small organizational tasks. You’ll also regularly collaborate with an enthusiastic team of editors, product managers, research analysts, and SEO analysts.
The 360 Reviews team operates as a startup within the larger U.S. News organization, giving it a fast-moving, innovative culture, matched with the stability of an established and respected media company. Using unbiased, data-driven ratings, 360 Reviews covers consumer products and services as well as a range of business products. The Associate Editor reports to a senior editor.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, a compelling storyteller, a team player, and passionate about helping consumers. As part of the job, you will:
- Fact-check content.
- Edit content for flow, consistency, accuracy, tone, AP style, grammar, and spelling.
- Write and edit consumer advice content using SEO best practices.
- Work in a content management system.
- Complete tasks such as writing meta descriptions.
