Upstream, the international oil and gas weekly newspaper, is seeking an energetic, focused journalist to join its North American bureau as a full-time reporter located in Houston, Texas.
The job will require the successful applicant to acquire and analyze information on oil & gas companies and their primary contractors, and generate accurate and insightful news copy for both web and print publication. Candidates should be able to work independently to produce consistent, clean news copy under tight deadlines. Regional and international travel is likely.
Candidates should possess a degree in journalism and/or equivalent reporting experience. Knowledge of the oil & gas industry is preferable, but not required, as is proficiency in a second language and experience in social media and multi-media reporting.
