The Topeka Capital-Journal is seeking a hands-on, visible business editor. The business editor will explore and chronicle economic development in the region and be host of dynamic partnerships between government, foundations and private enterprises.
Responsibilities:
• Write stories for print and use on multimedia platforms
• Oversee daily business coverage
• Write quickly under deadline pressure
• Shoot strong photos and video
• Lead regular podcasts and occasional Facebook Live broadcasts
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years newspaper experience
• Strong writing and reporting skills
