The Times Record, a daily community paper in a beautiful college town in Midcoast Maine, is seeking an energetic watchdog journalist to fill a full-time reporter position. A passion for investigative, enterprise reporting is a must. This position entails coverage of local schools and government, public safety and courts, and transportation, among other issues.
Must have a good eye for photography and be adept at utilizing social media and at writing for online and print audiences. Attention to detail, strong writing skills and a good grasp of AP style required, as is the ability to turn around breaking news stories quickly.
Professional experience in an online or print news organization is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
