The successful candidate will be the second of two business reporters covering the New Orleans area at a time when political and industry leaders are looking to move past the region’ historic reliance on tourism and trade. South Louisiana is rich with great stories, and while the job calls for stepping into myriad topics, the beat will likely include some specialty coverage in areas such as real estate, development and zoning. A key responsibility will be shaping a daily business newsletter that will strive to be the first read for the region’s decision makers.
A business reporting background is a big plus, but not required.
