Time seeks executive editor

Time is looking for an experienced editor and leader to oversee the publication’s coverage of the U.S. This person will be a central newsroom leader, with responsibility for critical pillars of coverage.

DUTIES:

  • Lead Time’s coverage of the U.S. across platforms and across the newsroom
  • Lead team of reporters and editors contributing to this coverage
  • Oversee execution of high-impact digital and print features as well as special projects
  • Collaborate on special events
  • Collaborate with video, photo and art departments on their award-winning journalism

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years editing experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in editing industry-leading features and news coverage and a track record of highly collaborative editorial work
  • Demonstrated record of innovation and idea generation with a strong record of mentorship
  • Demonstrated excellence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven culture
