The editor will work with TheStreet.com editors and contributors to produce clear, engaging columns and news stories on a variety of business and general interest topics. The editor must be skilled at writing sharp, intelligent prose for a wide audience. The editor must be experienced in markets with an understanding of stock valuation and investment practices.
Time spent in the trenches of business reporting is essential, and a desire to write and report stories and columns is also a plus. He or she must be able to write compelling, provocative headlines in real time. An appreciation of search engine optimization is a must.
The right candidate will be able to edit stories, write headlines, fact-check and assign stories on a wide variety of business and market news.
