The Washington Times seeks deputy opinion editor

The Washington Times is looking for a deputy opinion editor to assist with the oversight and management of the solicitation, selection and production of unique and compelling commentary articles and op-eds that contribute to and lead current national political discussion and debate.

This position requires clear and effective writing skills and the ability to see opportunities in the news cycle and fill them with timely pieces.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with journalism major strongly preferred
  • Five years of experience editing and writing opinion pieces
  • Excellent writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills
