Journo Jobs

The Sunday Long Read is looking for longform content writers

Every week, The Sunday Long Read seeks to share the best longform journalism out there, but we’re also proud to produce our own stories. We publish roughly 5 to 7 original longform articles per year and would love to hear from writers hoping to work with us.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Sunday Long Read delivers more than a dozen of the week’s best stories: deeply reported features, powerful essays, eye-opening analysis, and more. Its goal is to highlight the important work that can go overlooked in today’s world of information overload. It also features original longform journalism that brings a new topic, angle, or idea to the table.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • $2,000+  – Our floor for reported longform (>2,000 words) stories is $2,000 with the possibility of covering expenses.
