The Register seeks tech news reporters in San Francisco

The Register seeks full-time journalists to cover science and technology news from our office in downtown San Francisco.

Our U.S. operation is growing and as such we are looking for people of all levels, from junior to experienced journalists, with the following qualities:

• The ability to write crystal clear and accurate articles, and file them on a daily basis.
• A desire to cover the worlds of semiconductor chips, computer hardware, and related technologies; software-defined networking; or software engineering.
• The ability to find and develop sources, uncover news, pitch story ideas, and ultimately break exclusives.
• An appreciation of The Register’s writing style, headlines, and tone.
• A willingness to get out of the office to meet people working in the industry, attend conferences, and continuously learn all there is to know about new technologies.
