We are seeking a multidisciplinary journalist for The Press Democrat’s universal editing/design desk and digital operation. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of local and national sports, bring a track record for writing headlines that crackle and offer a design portfolio of sophisticated and energetic pages. We see this position as also contributing to our pressdemocrat.com site as a parttime digital producer, capitalizing on your editing and design skills.
Our mission is quite simple: Pursue and publish consequential, high-impact content that wins more subscribers, grows traffic and is the authoritative voice of business coverage in the North Bay. This copy editor/designer role is essential in strengthening the content we share with readers on several platforms.
